Bollywood veteran actress & Padm Shree awardee Sridevi died on Sunday in Dubai, where she was attending a wedding with husband Boney Kapoor & daughter Khushi. Sridevi died of cardiac arrest.
Her sudden demise at the age of 54, has shook almost everyone in the country, from President of India, Shri Ramnath Kovind to numerous B-wood actors have tweeted their condolences on her death.
Shri Kovind in a Tweet today said,
Shocked to hear of passing of movie star Sridevi. She has left millions of fans heartbroken. Her performances in films such as Moondram Pirai, Lamhe and English Vinglish remain an inspiration for other actors. My condolences to her family and close associates.
Sridevi who hailed from Shivkasi in Tamil Nadu had worked in numerous Bollywood & South Indian movies.
Sridevi’s famous piece of work include: Mawaali” (1983), “Tohfa” (1984), “Mr India” (1987) and “Chandni” (1989) kept her at the top in the box-office game, films like “Sadma” (1983), “ChaalBaaz” (1989), “Lamhe” (1991), and “Gumrah” (1993).
Sridevi’s last piece of work was in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero, which will be released in December this year.
