A CRPF officer from 212 Battalion of CRPF was killed while the battalion was on a search-cum-area domination operation, last night.
The incident happened in the insurgency hit district, Sukma of Chattishgarh. While the team was on an operation, suddenly a gunfight broke from maoists’ side in a dense forest of the area.
Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Anil Kumar Maurya, the martyred officer was a native of Madhya Pradesh.
